Here at Midland Feeds, our cereal mixture is predominantly made up of cereal meal (approx. 50%) and approximately 50% mixed pellets in the ration, including pea and bean pellets and cereal pellets. This ratio provides a protein level of around 14%, and is a competitive option for farmers feeding both cattle and sheep.
We recommend the Cereal Mixture to be fed from 3 months upwards when the rumen is more developed and can take full advantage of the feed. Our cereal mixture can be fed on an ad lib basis and can be fed to all types of stock as it is not mineralised.
Care must be taken, as with all high energy feeds, and animals must be introduced on to the ration slowly. As with all complementary feeds, good quality, consistent forage should be made available to all animals, along with clean water.
We can provide this material in bags and bulk, and it is available for nationwide delivery or collection from our site in Nottingham. It is suitable to be blown and will run through feeding systems or tipped as per your requirements. For more information please contact the Midland Feeds team today for a competitive price.
